Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas everyone! It is 2 in the morning, and I can't fall asleep because of this stupid cold I have, I cough everytime I am close to getting asleep, so I decided to type out this wonderful little christmas greeting. Well, I guess I'd better try again, because I'm sure that my siblings will be getting me up really bright and early.

THE END OF FINALS WEEK!!!!

YES! Just took my LAST FINAL! No more suffering, no more spending hours slaving over page after page of information that you try to cram into your head just for a few hours so you can do halfway decent on a test that has nothing to do with what you want to do for a living! I can finally get more than 5 hours of sleep a night! I can relax! I can look forward to Christmas! I feel as though my life has begun anew! (okay, so maybe I'm exaggerating a little.... but still)

Finals week.

Stupid, useless. That is my opinion on finals week! I mean, what's the point? We have a whole week set aside for tests that could be scheduled the week before! I'm a little bitter because mine are so spread out, I won't be able to come home for christmas until the 23rd. Anyway, I have to go study, I have a huge American Heritage test in a few hours.

1.Egg Nog or Hot Chocolate? Hot chocolate, it has more of a holiday feel for me

2.Does Santa wrap presents, pr set them under the tree? He wraps them, it wouldn't be special to just run downstairs and see everything that you've gotten right away!

3. Colored lights, or white? I actually have both, I was never good at making up my mind about stuff like that, so I comprimised.

4. Do you hang mistletoe? What's the point? I don't have a honey...

5. When do you put up decorations? I had mine up right before I left for home for thanksgiving. I catch the christmas bug really early.

6. What is you favorite holiday dish? I don't really have one, because my family always has different things around the holidays.

7. Favorite holiday memory as a child. In my old house in Centerville, we ahd a fireplace, and I just remeber one christmas where we all sat around, watching TV, with the christmas lights and the fireplace as the only light.

8. When and how did you learn the truth about santa? Hmmmm, I think I was 7 or 8, I accidently walked in on my mom and my older sister talking about it.

9. Do you open a gift on christmas eve? We each have our own little stocking full of stuff that we open on Christmas eve to tie us over.

10. How do you decorate your Christmas tree? I stand back, with my arms full of all the ornaments, then I spin around 3 times, and throw the ornaments at the tree. ;)

11. Snow.... Used to love it when I didn't have to live with it, now that I do.... I still like it when I'm inside watching it fall. I hate being out in it.

12. Can you ice skate? What?! Me! Do something that requires balance, and talent? Yeah, right...

13. Do you remember your favorite gift? I have several favorites. However, the one I remember the most is my telescope.

14. What is the most important thing about the holidays for you? Family. Hands down. And presents...... But mostly family.

15. What is your favorite holiday dessert? this slush stuff that my mom makes with frozen fruit juice, and sprite

16. What is your favorite holiday tradition? Opening stockings on christmas eve

17. What tops your tree? A silver star

18. Which do you prefer, giving, or recieving? I won't lie, I like getting gifts a lot.... But nothing beats the feeling that I get when I'm able to give a wonderful gift to someone I truly love.

19. what is your favorite christmas song? Mary did you know?

20. Cany canes, yum, or yuck? I like any candy canes, except for the really minty ones, those are only fit for stirring in your hot chocolate....

Divine Comedy..

Has decided to keep me!!! YAY! I was originally only supposed to do the prop manager thing until the end of the semester, but at the end of the last show, they told me that they had decided to keep me on for good!

Psychology.....

I love my psychology class..... I HATE the papers we have to write though...... Especially this one, because it's due the week before finals, and it just sucks.

So, a little bit of exciting news, Divine Comedy has decided that they like me enough to keep me!!! YAY!! Originally, the prop manger job was just supposed to be for this semester, but they decided to keep me on! I am so excited!

It's my birthday shout hooray!!

So, I am turning 19 years old on Wednesday...... Freaky. I don't feel like I should be that old. I don't even feel 18 yet, but then again what is 18 supposed to feel like? (wow, I'm getting deep) anyway, the coolest thing about my party is that I am finally getting some decent photoshop software! YAY!!!! I am also having a birthday party on Tuesday, which should be fun. My head hurts, so I'm going to stop typing, and go to sleep.

To the one or two people who read this blog.... MWAH HAHA!!!! Now that you know it's my birthday, you are obligated to buy me something!!!!!!! ;)

Being single, and staying single....

Okay, so I met this guy..... and I really like him. Which sucks, because the chances of us going out are very slim. (sigh) It seems like all I can think about since I got to Provo is guys. I think it's the atmosphere. I mean, I am only 19 years old! I shouldn't be worrying about guys! I should be concentrating on my studies. Everytime I tell that to myself, I think "yeah, well tell that to the part of me that likes this guy". I'm okay with being single..... most of the time...... I just wish that I had the certainty that I wouldn't stay single....

So, I'm coming home for Thanksgiving tomorrow.... Until Sunday. Wow, what a boring post....

To be, or not to be?

Alright, so the title has nothing to do with anything in this post... I just liked it. Anyway, new stuff in my life. I have a hugely busy week this week, I've got 2 midterms, a 6 page paper due, and Divine Comedy every night this week. Crazy! Right now I am just hanging on and hoping that the ride doesn't kill me.
Oh, one more thing before I sign off, my roomate is moving out. Not because we don't get along. I thought we were great friends, but apparantly she likes another girl one the floor better than me, and wants to move in with her.... I'm a little frustrated, but also a little happy because I will have my own room! Anyway, got to go, I'm late for my religion class.

Trying to narrow the pics down....

Wow, no posts for 2 weeks, and now 2 in one day!!! anyway, I'm trying to narrow down some pics for my visual arts portfolio, and I could use some help.. I've never been good at telling which things of mine are good, and which suck. I really could use some serious help! Any comments are wanted and appreciated.

Things going on in my life...

Well, I realized that I hadn't written on my blog in while... So, be prepared if this is extremely long... Well, hopefully I will have a job by tomorrow afternoon. It will be with BYU catering, with my roomate Tina. I am freaking out about my application to the visual arts program up here, partly becauseI don't know if I'm good enough, and partly because I don't have any film, so I it has been WEEKS since I've been able to shoot any new pics.... (sigh)
I had tons of fun this weekend! On friday night, my roomate and I and a few boys went to wendy's and then to the movie Invincible. It was pretty good, and really fun. Then, on saturday I was able to go up to Springhaven with everyone from Divine Comedy. Let me tell you, you don't know what fun is until you spend the whole day locked in a cabin with these guys! I have NEVER laughed so hard in my LIFE!!! We played volleyball, ate ourselves sick, convinced Lisa that Springhaven was haunted by the ghost of a dead cast member, and played Murder in the Dark. ( I was told that I was the scariest murderer that they'd ever had, because of my seemingly supernatural ability to pop out of nowhere and "kill" people.... hehe). It was the most fun that I'd had in a long time, and I am sooooo glad that I decided to go.
But, the absolute best part of the weekend was the fact that I had NO HOMEWORK!!!!!! YAY! That has got to be a once in a lifetime thing... One that I am very grateful for.
Well, I guess that's all that has happened.... You're all caught up! whew.... I really should write on this more often!

Coming home for the weekend!

So, ever since I moved up to Provo 2 months ago, I haven't gone back home to visit my family. I've been really busy... But, due to lack of homework and tests that are coming up this next week, I will be coming down for a short visit next weekend! I am sooooo excited! I can't wait to see everyone! Man, I bet this week is going to pass by really slowly

1. My neck tells me when a storm is coming... (I had brain surgery when I was 7, and now the scar tissue hurts a few days before a storm hits)

2. I hate people who don't clean up after themselves, yet I hardly do that myself.

3. I can't stand to throw away anything.... I'm always afraid I'll need it later

4. The only place I can study is in the library, because I fall asleep if I try to study anywhere else

5. If I fall in love with a book or movie, I google it until I know everything there is to know about it...

This is my friend Addie, she was looking at all of my pictures on my computer, and she asked me if I would be willing to shoot some of her... Well, we had to do it at a time when the lighting was less than perfect, and I only took a roll of film, but this one I felt turned out okay.... I just feel really unhappy with my photography lately. Everything just looks soft, or is too grainy, or some other thing, and it is driving me insane! 

Divine Comedy

WHY?????

So it has been cloudy for the past few days, but it hasn't rained much, just a little bit of sprinkling here and there, which is good, because my umbrella broke.... Then, today I woke up... and it was POURING!!! And it is so cold! I was dashing on campus, trying to hold up my pants as I splash through the puddles, and my legs were freezing off! And on top of that, I'm pretty sure I'm getting a cold... Yeah, I like it here, and everything, but I have decided that I HATE the weather!

What is with the COLD?

So, I woke up this morning, and to my surprise.... It is FREEZING outside! It is, like, 40 degrees! And this is just September.... What am I going to do when it starts snowing? Actually, I looked up at the mountains, and there is snow up there! In SEPTEMBER!!!! I am just now realizing how unprepared for winter I am..... Crap.....

So I have no new pictures today.... (sigh) I just have a hard time finding places, or people to take pictures of.... Back home, there was always a little kid around to snap some pics of... but here, there are no kids, just freshman.... WHY??!!??!!?!?!

First day of school!!

So, today was my first day of school.... It went really good because I only had 2 classes and I was done at one!!! That was really nice considering that I was up until 1 in the morning, because I couldn't fall asleep! Anyway, I had my religion class, and my Roman History class, both of which sound very interesting.... I am dying to take some pictures, but I don't know if I feel comfortable enough to ask people if I can take photos of them.... My family is coming up next weekend because Leisa has a cross country meet up here at BYU, and I am really excited... I miss them all so much!
